Nilai tukar rupiah berada di posisi Rp15.498 per dolar AS di perdagangan pasar spot pada Rabu (20/12) pagi. Mata uang Garuda menguat 7,5 poin atau naik 0,05 persen dari posisi sebelumnya.
Mata uang di kawasan Asia bergerak bervariasi. Tercatat, won Korea Selatan menguat 0,45 persen, yuan China minus 0,20 persen, ringgit Malaysia minus 0,40 persen, dan rupee India menguat 0,15 persen.
Baht Thailand melemah 0,29 persen, yen Jepang melemah 0,06 persen, dolar Singapura melemah 0,11 persen, dan dolar Hong Kong melemah 0,03 persen.
Sedangkan, mata uang negara maju juga bergerak di zona merah. Poundsterling Inggris melemah 0,11 persen, dolar Australia melemah 0,04 persen, dan dolar Kanada melemah 0,10 persen.
Sedangkan, franc Swiss melemah 0,05 persen dan euro Eropa melemah 0,11 persen.
Analis DCFX Futures Lukman Leong memproyeksi rupiah akan menguat imbas turunnya imbal hasil obligasi AS dengan meredanya ekspektasi akan prospek suku bunga the Fed.
“Namun penguatan akan terbatas, dengan investor cenderung wait and see menantikan rapat gubernur BI besok serta data inflasi PCE AS pada hari Jumat,” kata Lukman kepada CNNIndonesia.com.
Berdasarkan sentimen di atas, ia pun memproyeksikan rupiah bergerak di kisaran Rp15.450 sampai Rp15.550 per dolar AS pada hari ini.
